I honestly would not have gotten past the final boss or the corrosive hannibal if I hadn't been using the HDH/Arbalest(Upgraded Gastraphetes) combo.
With one of the more advanced bullets (Namely HDH) you can one to two shot any small aragami, and clear out most medium and large aragami in under five minutes. Most notably there's a Sniper that gives you really high piercing damage, but absolutely no crushing damage. GER has a very simple rule that lets you easy mode pretty much everything if you're willing to do some searching around or experimenting with the game's Bullet Editor system.
